How to Send Postcards Abroad

Whether you're traveling to another country or sending postcards from your home, there are some important things to know about international mailing. Getting it wrong can result in unnecessary loss, so it's essential to know how to send postcards abroad.

First, you must find the right place to mail your postcards. Some countries use a different address format than others, so it's important to make sure you're sending your postcards in the proper places.

Second, you should check your postage costs online. The USPS offers an online price calculator that allows you to enter your total number of postcards and the postal rate for the destination country. Once you have found the right postal rates, you can place your postcards in a USPS mail box.

Third, you'll want to make sure you have the correct size for your postcards. A standard postcard is usually 3-1/2" to 4-1/4" tall and no more than 0.016" thick. It should also be durable enough to withstand handling.

Fourth, you'll need to write the proper address on the front of the postcard. The return address is typically written on the top left corner, while the delivery address is written on the bottom center. You'll also need to include the recipient's name, zip code and country.

Finally, you'll need to add the correct number of stamps. The USPS does not accept postcards that are smaller than the minimum size. If you're sending a letter-sized postcard, you'll have to pay more.
